SEC + 3: Rivalry Week Edition

The best week of the regular season is finally here! Rivalry games are the best because they provide some much pride and emotion from all parties. In some parts of the country, rivalries in college football are a lifestyle. Then, if you're lucky, some rivalries are multiplied by the game having implications on a national level!

Last week, I went 7-3, (missing one heck of an unforeseen upset in the Swamp) pushing me to 95-23 overall this season. We've got 12 games on the board this week, so let's start with our three out-of-conference games:

(24) Duke 20
North Carolina 31

Duke's run will end this week. This makes me kind of sad. Guaranteed that I will be pulling against this pick.

Michigan 13
(3) Ohio State 31

Remember that "lifestyle" comment?

Michigan may come out the gates scrappy, and Ohio State may start the game thinking about Michigan State. After a quick slap in the face from Urban Meyer, the Buckeyes will run away with this one, and hope for Alabama to fall against Auburn. If this game gets too one-sided, Brady Hoke will be looking for a new job.

(22) UCLA 24
(23) Southern Cal 28

Ed Orgeron will probably get a permanent position if his Trojans win this game.

Now, onto the SEC:

Thursday, 28 November @ 7:30 PM

Mississippi State 24
Ole Miss 33

This Ole Miss team is going to very good and very physical in the next couple of years. The same will apply to Mississippi State, but the Rebels will steal the egg tomorrow.

Friday, 29 November @ 3:30 PM

Arkansas 13
(17) LSU 37

In a game where Bobby Petrino and Houston Nutt usually could outwit the Mad Hatter, this one will be ugly this year.

Saturday, 30 November

Florida 12
(2) Florida State 34

This is not only my prediction, but is also the threshold I think Florida has in mind for Will Muschamp. If this game gets insanely out of hand, Muschamp (like Brady Hoke) will be looking for a new job.

Wake Forest 20
Vanderbilt 27

Vanderbilt will have to play in another physical game this week after beating Tennessee. The Commodores will take care of business and quietly finish with eight wins this season.

(4) Auburn 31
(1) Alabama 38

AJ McCarron will soar to the front of the Heisman Race with this huge signature win. This year's version could be one of the best Iron Bowl's ever.

Georgia Tech 23
Georgia 31

The Bulldogs limp in to this game after losing their leader, Aaron Murray. They will rally and take care of Georgia Tech by pounding the rock.

Kentucky 29
Tennessee 37

In what will be the final contest for both of these teams, this game should actually be entertaining. Both of these programs showed glimmers of hope, and they will be much more relevant in years to come under their new coaches.

(5) Missouri 31
(21) Texas A&M 42

You're right. I am being biased on this pick. Johnny Manziel didn't look special last week. All South Carolina fans want you to prove to the pros that you deserve some money this week. Please make us proud.

(6) Clemson 27
(10) South Carolina 38

Steve Spurrier will create more history at South Carolina this weekend. This game will be close until the end, and I think the HBC will outwit Dabo once more.

So, before you Clemson fans are all like:

I will leave you with this awesomeness:
