Conner Shaw came off the bench last weekend to pull Carolina's SEC Championship hopes out of the ashes last weekend. He was truly phenomenal, leading his team back to victory in a thrilling win. The big question is, "What will the fall out of this game be?" This game opened up many championship scenarios that we have all heard all week.
Lets start with some out of conference picks:
(7) Miami 17
(3) Florida State 35
The storied rivalry between Miami and Florida State turns another chapter this week, and I think the 'Noles will make this game much more one-sided than meetings in the past for these two teams. Look for "Famous Jameis" to have a big day, and let's see if the traditional special teams woes of the series continue.
(8) Clemson 42
Virginia 20
Tajh Boyd returns to his home state, and I don't think the Tigers will have too much trouble in this game once it progresses into the second half. I do think that Virginia is a program on the rise, but I don't believe today will be their day.
(21) Michigan 23
(22) Michigan State 21
I think this game will be almost as close as these two teams are ranked.
So let's move on to our SEC Picks:
Mississippi State 13
(14) South Carolina 31
With their starting quarterback returning virtually out of thin air last week, South Carolina returns home off of a rough, three week road trip to where they hold a SEC-best, 14 game home conference win streak. I don't think that this changes today, as I think the Gamecocks will get hot early.
Georgia 19
Florida 17
Odd seeing these two teams play each other with neither team being ranked. Georgia wins an ugly game in Jacksonville.
(11) Auburn 35
Arkansas 16
Gus Malzahn's team handles business today against possibly the weakest team in the SEC.
Tennessee 20
(9) Missouri 27
Tennessee makes this one a lot closer than it should be.
Alabama State 14
Kentucky 28
Last time I picked Alabama State to get blown-oute, they took Tennessee down to the wire.
UTEP 14
(12) Texas A&M 41
Johnny Football will go nuts today.
So there you have them. Thanks for the read and be sure to follow me on twitter @griffaldo .
