Here's my Major League Baseball picks for Memorial Day: (run lines from SportsPlays.com)
Kansas City Royals (+1.5) vs. New York Yankees
Jeremy Guthrie has had a tough time against the Yankees' lineup historically, but I really like the Royals' bats against Nathan Eovaldi.
Boston Red Sox (-1.5) vs. Minnesota Twins
Ricky Nolasco has pitched better this season for Minnesota, but his improvement hasn't been impactful enough for me to trust him against Boston's bats. Joe Kelly hasn't been the best on the mound for the Red Sox, dropping two decisions in his last three games pitched. The Twins' lineup is a great lineup to bounce back against, and Kelly will be the man for the job in an afternoon game at Target Field.
Miami Marlins (+1.5) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
Charlie Morton makes his season debut as a starter for the Pirates, as he goes against Dan Haren. I've never been confident with Morton, and Haren has been pitching well this season. This being said, I'm taking the Marlins as the underdogs.
As always, thanks for reading! Please have a safe and happy Memorial Day and be sure to remember all of the brave Americans that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
