Waiver Wire Whisperer: Top 10 Adds From the Wire

We're coming close to the halfway point of the NFL Regular Season, and it's become apparent who 2015's booms and busts have been. Does your fantasy team need help? Here's 10 adds that could help you turn things around in week eight:

 Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Minnesota Vikings

Bridgewater goes into a week eight matchup against a Chicago Bears' defense that's allowed 15 passing touchdowns in six games. Yes, you read that right. Mr. Bridgewater is coming off his first 300-plus passing yards performance, and the Vikings have discovered another talent for him to throw to with Stefon Diggs.

 Ryan Matthews, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Even though the Eagles go into their bye week in week eight, Matthews continues to out-preform starter DeMarco Murray. Matthews apparently suffered a groin injury in Philadelphia's week seven loss to the Carolina Panthers, but the bye week should provide him with ample time to prepare himself for a week eight matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Matthews' week seven performance will have to warrant him more work moving forward, making him a good stash for those in need of RB2 or flex player.

 David Cobb, RB, Tennessee Titans

The Titans' backfield has been atrocious thus far in 2015, with Bishop Sankey being the ultimate disappointment to fantasy owners. The Titans, according to sources, plan to activate Cobb for their week nine matchup against New Orleans. Like Matthews, Cobb is a decent stash for owners that are desperate for a running back moving forward.

Duke Johnson Jr., RB, Cleveland Browns

Believe it or not, DK Jr. was available on the wire in three of my leagues. If this is the case for your league and you need a running back, pick this guy up! He's scored at least eight points in each of the past four weeks and holds a lot of value in PPR leagues.

 Jordan Reed, TE, Washington Redskins

Reed is another player that made my eyes grow big after I saw him available in a few of my leagues. He's a huge target for Kirk Cousins and an essential piece to the Redskins' offensive scheme. Reed will likely finish as a top five fantasy tight end this season.

Stevie Johnson, WR, San Diego Chargers

The more time Johnson spends on the field, the more effective he'll become. After returning from an injury in week seven, Johnson was targeted by Philip Rivers eight times. Though he was only able to secure four catches, look for him to improve the more action that he sees.

Charles Sims, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sims remains clearly behind Doug Martin on the Bucs' depth chart, but he continues to receive a decent amount of work in Tampa Bay's scheme. He's a good flex-play in PPR leagues and has had at least 10 carries in his last two games.

 Nate Washington, WR, Houston Texans

Washington had a fantastic week in week seven, and even with the possible return of Cecil Shorts to the Houston offense, I still see Washington getting a lot of targets, especially with the Texans' running game suffering a huge loss with Arian Foster's injury.

 Eric Ebron, TE, Detroit Lions

Ebron caught all five of his targets after returning from injury in week seven, including a touchdown catch. Moving forward, I see Ebron progressing very nicely and potentially moving into the second-best option behind Calvin Johnson in the Lions' passing attack.

Willie Snead, WR, New Orleans Saints

Snead has become a fantastic option for Drew Brees, drawing at least five targets in the Saints' last six games. New Orleans faces the Giants in week eight, where Snead could prove to be a profitable play for your team.
