NBA Playoffs
Eastern Conference
With the NBA
Playoffs already shaped up in the East. I decided to have a little fun and a do
a pick em’. While doing the picking process, I couldn’t really find any upsets
that I really felt a good gut feeling with. So without further a due, here is
my 2012 NBA Play offs Pick em’.
#1 Chicago
vs. #8 Philadelphia
Philly has played well this year
behind the veteran leadership of veteran PF Elton Brand. Chicago has been
behind the 2011 MVP Derrick Rose who has put together good guard play when
healthy. I think Rose will be healthy for this series against the 76ers ,but he
may appear to be rusty. I don’t believe that’s going to be trouble with Joakim Noah
and Carlos Boozer crashing the boards. I pick the Bulls to win this series in
five games.
#4 Boston
vs. #5 Atlanta
Boston’s last year with the Big 3
and Rondo. I expect them to make a run. Atlanta is not going to be an easy
matter though with Joe Johnson and gang. I think Rondo’s guard play is going to
be the difference in this one. I pick Boston to win in six.
#3 Indiana
vs. #6 Orlando
These two teams went head-to-head a
few times this season. I like Indiana’s scrappy style of play. Orlando with
Howard I think could take this series, but without Howard, I don’t see it
happening. I pick Indiana in six.
#2 Miami vs.
#7 New York
Jeremy Lin’s February run put him on
the cover of Time magazine. Miami was
the team that put the definite end to their run (after New Jersey). New York
has something to prove here ,but I don’t think it will be enough to overcome a
rested Miami team. Maybe next year. I pick Miami in four.
#1 Chicago
vs. #4 Boston
This is going to be a fun series to
watch (if it happens). These two teams had a very physical series in 2009. I
believe the key match-up has to be Rondo vs. Rose, and I think it will be a fun
one to watch. I gotta go with the Bulls here ,as I think they will dominate the
paint. I pick Bulls in six.
#2 Miami vs.
#3 Indiana
Will be interesting to see this
series. I don’t think Indiana has the star power to run with Miami. I pick
Miami in four.
EASTERN
CONFERENCE FINALS
#1 Chicago
vs. #2 Miami
I know you’re saying, “Wow way to be
creative with #1 and #2 teams playing each other.” I just believe we are going
to see a rematch of last year’s conference final. I think Derrick Rose goes off
in this series, ending it with a different result. I pick Chicago in six.
And there
you have it, my Eastern Conference playoff picture. I will have the West as
soon as we get a concrete picture with the Jazz, Suns, and Rockets all looking
for that #8 seed. Thanks for reading and as always feel free to email me at JCGriffin13@yahoo.com or shoot me a
