NBA Playoff Pick em' Western Conference and Finals

NBA Playoffs Western Conference

With the Heat beating the Rockets and the Jazz beating the Suns last night, we finally have the Western Conference playoff picture. So here are my thoughts for the West…

#1 San Antonio vs. #8 Utah

            The Jazz shocked a lot of folks by making the post season this year. San Antonio has the experience and the better big men in this matchup. I can’t pick against that. I do think Utah is going to give San Antonio a reality check, but I just don’t think they are going to have enough size and marquee players. I pick San Antonio in five.

#4 LA Clippers vs. #5 Memphis

            This is a match up that really intrigues me. I think this is going to be an exhausting series for both teams. I think the Clippers and CP3 will outlast the Grizzlies. I pick the LA Clippers in seven.

#3 LA Lakers vs. #6 Denver

            I think Bynum allows the Lakers to roll over Denver. He’s healthy and he’s playing well. Denver might sneak one in on the Lakers with the absence of Metta World Peace coughRonArtestcough. I pick the Lakers in five.

#2 Oklahoma City vs. #7 Dallas

            Its hard to pick against the defending world champs, but I just don’t think Dallas can do it unless Dirk Nowitzki goes absolutely nuts. I like Durant and Westbrook ,and I think Harden will be back in time for the series. The key for Dallas is they are going to have to play good defense, but I think the Thunder’s high flying offense is going to be too much. I pick Oklahoma City in six.

#1 San Antonio vs. #4 LA Clippers

            San Antonio again has the experience over a Clippers team that just doesn’t. Kenyon Martin and Blake Griffin will have to play well against Duncan and Blair to win this one. I just think the experience will help the Spurs. I pick San Antonio in six.

#3 LA Lakers vs. #2 Oklahoma City

            I think this is where the Thunder meet the end of their road this year. I just don’t see them matching up well with Gasol and Bynum. I think the Lakers will grind out the wins ,and they will move on to face the Spurs. I pick LA in six.

#1 San Antonio vs. #3 LA Lakers

            A great Western Conference final! I think this will be an awesome series, and it will be one not soon forgotten. Got to go with the Spurs, as I think they match up well with the Lakers. I pick San Antonio in seven.

NBA Finals

San Antonio Spurs vs. Chicago Bulls

            A great final between two great teams that is going to be physical. I think the youth of the Bulls and Derrick Rose help the Bulls win. Derrick Rose goes nuts as the Bulls win in six.
