13 May MLB
Power Rankings
With another
week down, here are my 13 May MLB Power Rankings:
5 Best:
5) Atlanta
Braves
The Braves
move into the top five this week after sweeping the defending champion, St.
Louis Cardinals.  The Braves played a
complete series, and outplayed the Cardinals in just about every aspect of the
game.  The Braves played to the potential
that I wrote about in my MLB Preview. They are now nipping at the Nats heels.
4)
Washington Nationals
The Nationals
are playing good baseball. Their only weakness I think, is that they need a
little more pop in their bats. With a series against the Pirates coming up, I believe
time is of the essence.
3) Baltimore
Orioles
Baltimore
continues to be sneaky-good. They join the Rangers and Dodgers as the only
teams that have won 22+ games.  They face
a tough week with series against the Yankees and Nationals. You have to wonder
how they will fair this week.
2) Los
Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers
continue to own the NL West. They are up on the Giants by 6 games. I really
wish I had Matt Kemp on my fantasy team as they face the Padres this week.
1) Texas
Rangers
No surprise
here. Josh Hamilton hit 9 home runs (not including if he hits one while I’m
posting this) this week. Again, he hit 9 home runs. He accounted for 40 total
bases. Insane.
5 Worst
5) Los
Angeles Angels
The Angels
come in fifth here, but there is hope. They did beat the number one Rangers,
and they have a chance to take the series tonight.
4) Boston
Red Sox
If the Red
Sox find pitching, the Red Sox will find winning. That’s all I have to say
about that.
3) Chicago
Cubs
The Cubbies
are just too mediocre. They meet the Phillies this week, so whoever swings the
bat better is going to win.
2) San Diego
Padres
San Diego
meet the Dodgers this week. Better hope they can find a way to score runs.
1) Minnesota
Twins
Minnesota is
just being Minnesota…its going to be a rough year….

enjoyed my power rankings. As always, hit me up on email: JCGriffin13@yahoo.comor twitter
