Week one in Division One College Baseball has wrapped up after some crazy weather and upsets. Here on GSL, I’ll give you a weekly top 25 with some quick notes on each team. I’ll also a pitching and offensive MVP for the week. So here’s our top 25 for the first week of the 2014 season.

#17 Louisville
|
Only loss for the weekend was against The Citadel.

#16 Louisiana-Lafayette
|
Cajuns used a tough four-game set with Eastern Illinois to get them back in playing shape.

#15 Clemson
|
The Tigers youth caught up to them in game one against Eastern Michigan, but they recovered by taking the next two games.

|
A sweep of Hawaii starts the Ducks off right for 2014.

#13 Rice
|
The owls took two-of-three from a tough Stanford team, but dropped a game last night to Houston.

#12 Texas A&M
|
The Aggies enjoyed their weekend sweep of Northeastern.

#11 Arkansas
|
The Hogs dominated App. State this past weekend.

#10 UCLA
|
A battered team found some energy going into a tough series with Cal Poly this weekend.

#9 Louisiana State
|
The Tigers have been rock-n-rolling through the first week by defeating in-state competition.

|
Heisman-winner Jameis Winston got his first save of the 2014 campaign this weekend.

#7 North Carolina State
|
The weather and 2014 debut of Carlos Rodon made the Pack’s opening week pretty saddening.

The Cavaliers slipped-up against Kentucky, but they still round out my top five.

#4 South Carolina

The Gamecocks showed extreme depth in every aspect of pitching. The bats didn’t look too bad either, totaling 41-runs in their opening weekend.

The Bulldogs have had a chaotic start with logistical nightmares, so two losses won’t drop them far, yet.

#2 Cal-State Fullerton
|
The Titans start off even at 2-2 after two tough PAC-12 opponents.

The Beavers are at the top of the poll after simply dominating the Husker Classic hosted by Nebraska this weekend.

Pitcher of the Week: Will Crowe RHP, Freshman, South Carolina
Crowe earned the winning decision in his highly anticipated debut at Carolina Stadium on Sunday, striking out five batters and not allowing a single hit. Crowe’s velocity was very impressive as he was hitting low-90s on the radar gun well into the sixth inning.
Offensive Player of the Week: Camden Duzenack, Freshman, Dallas-Baptist
Duzenack was in the zone this weekend during his Dallas-Baptist debut, totaling seven doubles and driving in 13-runs.
