SEC Rivalry Week Picks

It feels like college football season just started, but here we are in rivalry week! Here's our record going into this week's picks:

Griff: 65-28
Keister: 64-29

As you can see, just one game separates us, so let's go straight in to rivalry week picks:

LSU vs. Texas A&M

Keister: The edge will go to the boys from Baton Rouge in this close-knit contest.

The Pick: LSU 28 Texas A&M 23

Griff: Les Miles' squad has been demoralized the past two weeks, and they will pick themselves up with a nice win in College Station.

The Pick: LSU 38 Texas A&M 20

Arkansas vs. (17) Missouri

Keister: The Razorbacks get down to business for the third week in a row and show strong promise for next year.

The Pick: Arkansas 33 Missouri 14

Griff: Missouri will shut the door on Georgia and earn a trip to Atlanta. The Tigers will shut down the Arkansas' running game, while using Russell Hansbrough and Marcus Murphy on the ground to fatigue the Arkansas' defense.

The Pick: Missouri 31 Arkansas 26

South Carolina vs. (21) Clemson

Keister: Give me the home team in this one!

The Pick: Clemson 27 South Carolina 21

Griff: This is an intriguing matchup where DeShaun Watson's health is the clear x-factor. The HBC has had a good plan on offense for the past five seasons, so I'm going with the Gamecocks.

The Pick: South Carolina 35 Clemson 29

(16) Georgia Tech vs. (9) Georgia

Keister: I'll trust Mark Richt's record against the Bulldogs' Atlanta Rival.

The Pick: Georgia 30 Georgia Tech 20

Griff: Georgia will pound the ball consistently against the Yellow Jackets. The Bulldogs will also be able to get enough stops on defense to silence their out-of-conference foe.

The Pick: Georgia 41 Georgia Tech 31

Kentucky vs. (22) Louisville

Keister: The Cardinals lucky bounces will come to a halt in this intrastate rivalry. A lot of unexpected offensive play-calling will propel Coach Stoops' squad.

The Pick: Kentucky 35 Louisville 27

Griff: Louisville's defense will step up and make a play at the end of this one. This game could quietly be the best rivalry game of the week.

The Pick: Louisville 24 Kentucky 16

Florida vs. (3) Florida State

Keister: Sorry to all the Seminole-haters, but there's not going to be a playoff shake-up in Doak Campbell this weekend.

The Pick: Florida State 34 Florida 23

Griff: Florida's defense will give Jameis Winston some trouble at the beginning, but the Seminoles will find a way to pull it out, just like they have all season.

The Pick: Florida State 31 Florida 28

(4) Mississippi State vs. (19) Ole Miss

Keister: Dak Prescott and company handle the Rebels and bring state-wide bragging rights to Starkville.

The Pick: Mississippi State 31 Ole Miss 17

Griff: Dan Mullen's Bulldogs keep their foot on the gas, and Ole Miss is just too depleted to keep up the pace with Mississippi State's physicality.

The Pick: Mississippi State 34 Ole Miss 22

Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt

Keister: I almost forgot about this one. Can you blame me?

The Pick: Tennessee 37 Vanderbilt 20

Griff: Josh Dobbs gets the Volunteers bowl eligible with a nice blowout in Nashville.

The Pick: Tennessee 45 Vanderbilt 14

(15) Auburn vs. (1) Alabama

Keister: Tuscaloosa will be short of miracles for the Tigers on Saturday!

The Pick: Alabama 41 Auburn 21

Griff: Alabama is ranked as the best team in the country, and they prove it in the Iron Bowl.

The Pick: Alabama 36 Auburn 25

As always, thanks for reading our picks! Be sure to give Griff a follow on twitter @griffaldo. Don't forget to grab that slice of pumpkin pie!
