SEC + 3: Week 13

Last week wasn't so hot for either of us, but Griff now leads by one game with a 56-26 record. Keister and I set the record straight with this week's picks:

South Alabama vs. South Carolina

Keister: Gamecocks look sharp in a tune-up game in lieu of the Battle of the Palmetto State next weekend.

The Pick: South Carolina 52  South Alabama 13

Griff: South Carolina picked up some serious confidence after taking Florida down in Gainesville last weekend. Look for that confidence to create some momentum heading into the matchup against bitter rival Clemson.

The Pick: South Carolina 49 South Alabama 18

Eastern Kentucky vs. Florida

Keister: Part one of Coach Muschamp's farewell tour goes smooth as expected, and the Gators roll big!

The Pick: Florida 45 Eastern Kentucky 6

Griff: Florida will win easily this weekend, but the Gators will need to make sure they watch out for Colonels' running back Dy'Shawn Mobley, who scored all SIX touchdowns for Eastern Kentucky last weekend.

The Pick: Florida 31 Eastern Kentucky 13

Charleston Southern vs. (10) Georgia

Keister: Coach Chadwell and company get their pay check but at the expense of an absolute beating.

The Pick: Georgia 49 Charleston Southern 7

Griff: Big weekend for the Bulldogs, as they'll be watching for the final score of the Tennessee/Missouri matchup later in the day. Oh yeah, there's a football game in Athens too.

The Pick: Georgia 52 Charleston Southern 3

(8) Ole Miss vs. Arkansas

Keister: After getting over the hump of winning an SEC game last weekend, Coach Bielema and crew get another big victory at home playing the role of the underdog!

The Pick: Arkansas 24 Ole Miss 20

Griff: This game will be a fist fight from kickoff to the final gun. A late mistake from either team will be the deciding factor, and I'm going to take the Rebels in this one.

The Pick: Ole Miss 24 Arkansas 23

Western Carolina vs. (1) Alabama

Keister: A lot of young talent gets to see the field in this late-season FCS matchup for the Crimson Tide.

The Pick: Alabama 63 Western Carolina 10

Griff: Alabama rolls easily in preparation for the Iron Bowl.

The Pick: Alabama 43 Western Carolina 0

Samford vs. (14) Auburn

Keister: Auburn provides plenty of fireworks in Jordan-Hare on Saturday!

The Pick: Auburn 54 Samford 17

Griff: I'm going to sound redundant, but the Tigers will whip up on Samford to try to brace themselves for a trip to Tuscaloosa.

The Pick: Auburn 57 Samford 6

(20) Missouri vs. Tennessee

Keister: Neyland Stadium will have plenty to cheer about when the smoke clears Saturday, as they'll become bowl eligible in a huge home win.

The Pick: Tennessee 33 Missouri 26

Griff: A great matchup that'll help decide who'll make the trip to Atlanta from the East. This game will come down to which team runs the ball best. With suspensions affecting the Volunteer defense, expect Russell Hansbrough to get a lot done on the ground for Mizzou, as they survive for yet another week as the leaders of the East.

The Pick: Missouri 27 Tennessee 24

Vanderbilt vs. (4) Mississippi State

Keister: Coach Mullen will have his team running smooth after last week's tough first loss of the season.

The Pick: Mississippi State 38 Vanderbilt 14

Griff: The Commodores get Dakked!!!

The Pick: Mississippi State 45 Vanderbilt 13

(19) Southern Cal vs. (9) UCLA

Keister: The Southern Cal defense will reach into tons of untapped potential and neutralize the UCLA offense.

The Pick: Southern California 37 UCLA 24

Griff: I'm still baffled as to how the Bruins are the ninth-ranked team in the country, and I'm certainly not buying into them this week.

The Pick: Southern California 28 UCLA 17

Georgia State vs. (22) Clemson

Keister: Clemson looks sharp and gets reps for young players on both sides of the ball!

The Pick: Clemson 41 Georgia State 3

Griff: Chad Morris will have his offense lean on the running game to cruise to an easy victory Saturday. South Carolina citizens will be anxious to hear what role DeShaun Watson will hold in his first rivalry game against the Gamecocks.

The Pick: Clemson 56 Georgia State 10

(24) Louisville vs. Notre Dame

Keister: South Bend will be quiet early and often by the balanced attack of the Cardinals' offense.

The Pick: Louisville 39 Notre Dame 28

Griff: Going to be honest with our readers here: Keister and I picked this game to spite Notre Dame, so if it goes the other way then we'll certainly understand. Notre Dame has been overrated all season, however, so this won't be an issue.

The Pick: Louisville 34 Notre Dame 21

As always, we'd like to thank everybody for reading our picks. Be sure to follow Griff on twitter @griffaldo and be on the look out for some expansions of our work in the near future!
