Here's my picks for April 18: (run lines from SportsPlays.com)
Cleveland Indians +1.5 vs. Minnesota Twins
Danny Salazar makes his debut for the Indians against Phil Hughes and the Twins. I'm picking Cleveland, as Phil Hughes is 0-2 with a 5.25 ERA in his last three starts. It will be interesting to see how good Salazar will look in his first start of the season.
Baltimore Orioles +1.5 vs. Boston Red Sox
Chris Tillman and Clay Buchholz square off in Fenway Park Saturday afternoon. It's tough to pick against an impressive Red Sox offense, but Buchholz has only pitched 10.1 innings combined in his last three starts with a 7.84 ERA. This pick depends solely on how he pitches for Boston today. Tillman has been consistent for the Orioles and has found his spots well. I think we'll see some runs in this game today, but the Orioles have the edge.
Los Angeles Angels +1.5 vs. Houston Astros
Young Dallas Keuchel has pitched well in his first two starts, but the Angels have been able to hit him fairly well historically. C.J. Wilson will be looking to bounce back from a rough outing at home against Kansas City, where he allowed the Royals to score seven runs against him. Look for the Angels to look prepared for Houston's young ace today.
