Here's my picks for Tuesday, May 5: (run lines from SportsPlays.com)
Cleveland Indians (+1.5) vs. Kansas City Royals
Danny Salazar has showed signs of breaking out this season into a strikeout machine. He's historically pitched well against the Royals, who'll throw Jason Vargas tomorrow.
Los Angeles Dodgers (-1.5) vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Everything's just about gone wrong for the Brewers this season. Maybe they'll get lucky against Zack Greinke on the mound, but with Matt Garza pitching, my bet is with the Dodgers as the favorites.
Seattle Mariners (+1.5) vs. Los Angeles Angels
This might be the best pitching matchup on Tuesday, as James Paxton faces off against Garrett Richards. Paxton has started off slow this season, as he's yet to earn his first win. I firmly believe that he's been the victim of some untimely hits, and he'll bounce back to have a good year. Paxton has already struck out 26 hitters in just 26.2 innings pitched. I'm taking the M's as dogs in what will be a tough pitcher's duel.
