Here are my picks for Wednesday, May 6: (run lines from SportsPlays.com)
Cleveland Indians (+1.5) vs. Kansas City Royals
The Indians will throw Carlos Carrasco against the Royals' Danny Duffy. Pretty much a straight up pick, so I'm going to go with Carrasco, who seems to be getting better and better each time he takes the hill this season.
Washington Nationals (-1.5) vs. Miami Marlins
Max Scherzers goes against Tom Koehler, who has a 5.74 ERA in his last three starts. People might no believe me, but I'm telling you all this: the Nationals are about to start playing some really good baseball. I'll take them as favorites in this afternoon matchup.
Detroit Tigers (+1.5) vs. Chicago White Sox
White Sox get favored in this one because Chris Sale is pitching. The game is in U.S. Cellular Field, which is one of the better hitter's park in Major League Baseball. Sale doesn't pitch spectacular against the Tigers, and I'll take them as the underdogs here with Alfredo Simon pitching.
