GSL College Football Top 25: Week One

With week one of college football in the books, us writers now have a baseline to compare teams. The only major surprise in these rankings that some may disagree with me on is my ranking of Texas A&M at number nine. The Aggies impressed me this week against Arizona State, and they looked every bit of a top 10 team.

Baylor, TCU, Auburn, Alabama and Ohio State make up my top five for the first week, and we saw some weaknesses and some definite strengths for all five. TCU and Auburn were given all they could handle by Minnesota and Louisville, respectively, but both the Horned Frogs and the Tigers handled the adversity well. Virginia Tech played Ohio State tough, but the Buckeyes proved to be overpowering, especially after the Hokies lost their starting quarterback, Michael Brewer.
