SEC WEEK 8 PICKS

Alabama @ Tennessee

The number one team in the country cruises into Knoxville unblemished.  I think Bama wins this game, but Tennessee will exploit some weaknesses in Alabama’s defense.

LSU @ Texas A&M

The Bayou Bengals are coming off an impressive performance against South Carolina.  Les Miles had  his team execute a great game plan.  This week they face the most talented freshman this year in the SEC, Johnny Manziel.  Expect this game to be close and the 12th man to be roaring.

Auburn @ Vanderbilt

The Auburn Tigers have been disappointing this season, and this week they hit the road to Nashville.  Vandy has been tough on their luck this season, as they had some high expectations going into the year.  This one is really kind of a toss up, but I think Gene Chizik knows this is kind of a must win game.

Georgia @ Kentucky

The Bulldogs travel to Lexington after coming off a needed bye week.  Two weeks ago they were thrashed in Columbia, and I think they are going to be dishing the whooping this week.  Georgia rolls big.

Middle Tennessee @ Mississippi State

The Bulldogs face the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee the week before their showdown with the Crimson Tide.  A lot of people think this might be a trap game because the Bulldogs will overlook them.  I don’t think that will be the case.

South Carolina @ Florida

The Gamecocks travel to Gainesville in search of a huge win.  Florida is trying to stake their claim to the SEC East.  There are a lot of story lines in this game, as Steve Spurrier returns to the where he achieved greatness as a player and a coach.  I just can’t pick against a Steve Spurrier team in “The Swamp” regardless if that team is on the visitor sideline.
